A Story of True Manifestation of Vision, Trust, and Community ✨
La Bohème is more than just a space — it’s a story of trust in life 🌱, a leap into the unknown 🌊, and the beauty of surrendering to what wants to unfold 💫.
In 2021, Marie came to Mexico 🇲🇽 with the desire to start a new life far from the conventional and closed structures she experienced in Europe, especially in Germany 🇩🇪. From the beginning, she was drawn to the idea of community living 🤝 — open, heart-centered, and rooted in connection.

In 2022, she attended a community building conference by REGEN Tribe in Chemuyil and volunteered in intentional spaces like Hedone in Izamal and Om Sanctuary in Tulum 🛖. Her plan was simple: explore, learn, and gather inspiration by visiting communities across Mexico in her camper van 🚐.
But life had other plans 🌌.
Although she tried to leave Playa del Carmen more than three times, something always pulled her back 🌀. Eventually, Marie realized that instead of always looking outward and into the future, perhaps the place she was meant to be had already found her 🌍.
In April 2023, she met Jorge 🎸, a well-known musician from Tabasco deeply rooted in the local community. Originally from Villahermosa, Jorge moved to Playa in 2018, seeking a deeper connection to life beyond the boundaries of his upbringing. In 2020, he made a bold decision to free himself from the corporate world and dedicate his life entirely to music — especially the didgeridoo, the instrument through which he expresses his soul's rhythm and connects with others in profound ways 🌬️🎶.
In Playa del Carmen, Jorge found not just inspiration, but a home in the conscious healing community. Surrounded by people walking alternative paths, he flourished — playing music at ceremonies, co-creating at local gatherings, and nurturing meaningful connections.

What brought him and Marie together was their shared love for acroyoga 🤸 and their vision of bringing together like-minded people who seek alternative ways of living, healing, and building community 🌀.
Together, they gave birth to La Bohème — a place that brings together their dreams and values in the most natural way 💖. Since December 2024, Jorge and Marie have been pouring their energy ⚡ into co-creating this space: an open and vibrant meeting point for the local and international community 🌎.
At La Bohème, we host events and activities 🎭 that nurture personal growth 🌱, movement 🧘, music 🎵, and meaningful human connection 💬. It's a space where ideas can blossom 🌸, creativity flows freely 🎨, and people feel truly welcome 🤗.
At the core of everything we do are three guiding values:

🧡 Authenticity — We create a space where everyone is encouraged to show up as they are, express themselves honestly, and connect from the heart.
💛 Unity — We believe in the power of coming together, celebrating diversity, and building bridges between people from all walks of life.
💡 Innovation — We’re inspired by new ideas, alternative ways of living, and creative approaches to community building. La Bohème is a living, evolving experiment — always open to fresh perspectives.
